24 Hours in Savannah, Ga
We recently got back from a five day trip to Skidaway Island State park and one of the things we LOVED about camping on Skidaway is that it’s just 20 minutes from one of our favorite cities: Savannah! Here are my recs for what to do if you had 24 hours in this magical place!
BREAKFAST
My friend Sophie gave us a bunch of great recs (she used to live in Savannah!) and one of them was The Foxy Loxy Cafe. Amazing coffee and breakfast wraps (and much more but we had and loved the wraps!). Phoebe had the gluten free peanut butter cookie. Yum!
The Foxy Loxy is a great place to park, eat breakfast, and then walk to Forsyth Park. Forsyth park is a BEAUTIFUL landmark with fountain, beautiful oaks and spanish moss, street performers, artists, roller skaters and skate boarders, play grounds… people watching dream! The walk will also give you gorgeous brownstones to gawk over and lots of great shopping along the way.
At the park you could grab a drink, lunch, or a snack at the Collins Quarter. Side note: we had Chief so all of these recs are dog friendly!
At Collins Quarter I had the most gorgeous avocado toast in all the world and the girls had french toast that was so pretty I could hardly handle it. Sam loved the burger! You can also grab local Square Pops at their Take Away window!
LUNCH
Another great lunch option is Bull Street Tacos YESSS. While it was all amazing (perfect salsa and chips - tacos to die for) my favorite was the cauliflower taco! To go here you will back track a bit so just know that but it’s totally worth it!
COFFEE + SHOPPING
After you have refueled (Topochico or Marg, anyone?!) walk back through the park towards one of my favorite shops in the world, The Paris Market. I cannot express my love enough for this perfectly curated Parisian escape. There are two floors (don’t miss the downstairs!) and it’s just the most heavenly eye candy everywhere. Think gifts, antiques, jewelry, a cute kid’s section, potpourri, dried lavender, crystal chandeliers… you’ll forget you are in south Georgia.
After shopping grab a pastry and coffee at their little cafe!
pre-dinner drive
Now walk back to your car and thank me later for all of your daily steps! HA! It’s just so pretty and such an amazing walking city that you won’t mind. Nothing is more than a 10-15 min walk away. After walking back to your car make the drive to Bluff Drive on Isle of Hope. Such a gorgeous drive with the most stunning houses like this one below and it’s along the marina so it’s all waterfront.
DINNER
For dinner I cannot recommend enough The Wyld. It’s such a hidden gem off the beaten path. Mostly locals, on the water, great tacos and drinks and we could have stayed there all day.
Have so much fun and let me know if you go! Can’t wait to hear about your trip! I pride myself on only sharing the best. Ha! XO
