Kitchen Cabinets are In!!!
Our cabinets are 90% installed! Anyone that has walked through a reno knows this massive feeling of joy!! Reno fatigue is real (i googled it this week π) and this put wind in my wings! So grateful for @huntandgathergoods wisdom and advice and sourcing help and @costilicabinetry for the beautiful cabinets and our friend Mark for his carpenter skills and my Dad and Sam for everything in between! Not to mention electricians and plumbers and floor installers and ceiling smoothers - so many talented hands that have worked so hard. It may be until march that we have appliances but celebrating big today!!!
Weβve come a long way from the original design plan (green!) and opted for a softer cream. This is βFeather Downβ by Benjamin Moore and I LOVE it! We went with a very shaker style cabinet with an inset (the doors are inside the frame vs on top of them). One of my favorite details are the wooden knobs that they sprayed to match the cabinets.
This is a small and cozy kitchen so storage is really important. The island has all drawers to make room for plates and bowls and whatever else we need.
One of my favorite features are these custom shelves that really bring the cottage look I was going for to life. They are stained to match the floors. Canβt wait to style them with cute mugs and cake stands and cook books.
Big fan of this window that will overlook the farm and a stone sink will be fitted to the cabinets to match the countertops and backsplash. Feeling eternally grateful to be such a big step forward. God is sustaining us in every way while we try and create a home for our family.
