A PEEK AT THE GIRLS' ROOM + PHOTOGRAPHY

We've been slowly chipping away at the girls' room. We painted the room White Linen by Benjamin Moore in Premium Matte Finish. We chose the premium because it washes clean. I've already had the pleasure of testing it out because Matilda's new favorite thing to do is wipe her boogers on the wall. HA. I love how airy the white feels and it certainly helps make the tiny room look a bit bigger (it's a 12 x 12 room). Matilda seems to be really enjoying the idea of sharing a room which is exciting and now that we have the crib and her bed set up, I'm feeling easier about the transition. We left all of the fun decorating details to do as we go. I can always feel when a room feels rushed. I'm enjoying milling over my decisions. You can find inspiration + sources here.

I've been trying to learn how to use my camera a little bit better. I shot these pictures in manual which makes me feel so clueless, but it's at the top of my list to become a better photographer. We are debating investing in a new lens. Two of my brilliant photographer friends recommended the Canon 35 mm/ f 2.0 lens, so that's the one we're leaning towards. I know a lot of my friends love the 50mm. Feel free to weigh in. I've also been working on my editing skills. I have LightRoom as well at PhotoShop and there's just so much to learn about both of them. I really love light + airy photos and I have a hard time trying to figure out how to achieve that. Any insight is welcome and much appreciated!
