Lighting Up the Night at Cagle's Family Farm
Weekend before last we drove the short trip with some friends to
(I also mentioned it
). We had the most amazing time. Matilda dressed in her fairy costume (a favorite!) and Phoebe strolled along in her
(keep reading for some exciting news...) as we watched a pig race, fed farm animals, traveled to ride on a hay ride, saw sheep herding and plenty of corn in their incredible three-mile corn maze.
Y'all I am pretty sure that this is the first hayride I've ever been on, at least it's the only one I remember! We piled in this use bed attached to a tractor and took a tour of the farm. We saw sheep herding demonstrations, as well as cow herding. Those dogs are incredible, it can take 2 and a half years to fully train them. The cows came right up the the tractor to get a little snack. Obviously the kids were in heaven.
After the hayride we gathered our complimentary baby pumpkins and headed over to feed the animals (!!). You could purchase food to feed them with and there were baby pigs, ducks, turkeys, chickens, cows, and other adorable furry creatures that I can't remember. So sweet! The animals were a huge hit and no one got bit (a couple of years ago Matilda was traumatized after being bit by a donkey - ha!).
sidenote: a few of you have asked about Phoebe's tights... they can be found right
Our last two stops were the corn maze which I totally want to revisit. I had never been in a corn maze either. Totally want to go back with adult friends and do it and then maybe just maybe hit up the haunted barn. I mean, it sounded pretty awesome. They also have two in-ground bounce areas as well as funnel cakes and apple pies at the entrance/exit. The girls bounced forever on the "little kid" bouncer. Cutest ever.
OK, so I think I said I had some exciting news... well I totally do. I am beyond excited to be teaming up with my friends at
(love them!) to give away to one super lucky winner... an Origami stroller! I could go on and on about how awesome this stroller is (collapses and opens with a touch of a button, self charges, has running lights) but you really have to watch the video to truly appreciate how ground breaking it is.
Amazing, right? There's just nothing like it. The ladies watching it unfold at the farm were in awe. It's awesome to see people's reactions to the Origami. I also wanted to tell you guys about the contest 4moms is having. In addition to entering below you can also enter their
costume contest right
. Share your photo with friends and family allowing them to vote for you and increase your entries! So fun. Best of luck!
