Business Cards of Alt Summit
A little confession before I start sharing these incredible business cards (as well as my own!). In the weeks before my trip to Alt Summit, I would wake up in the middle of the night and check the #altsummit on instagram. It was terrifying. People were sharing sketches for clothing they were designing for ALT. There was one girl that made 200 mini notebook business cards out of cereal boxes and then there's me... I barely have time to brush my teeth some days. It was nerve racking! The worst part is that I waited too long to order my cards and the quality was terrible. Lucky for me the lovely people at MOO reached out and I was very excited to get to try out their Luxe line. More in a minute...
Some black and white favorites: I have been a longtime reader of Mer Mag and was so delighted to run into Merrilee at one of the mini parties. She was so kind and gracious and I am so excited about her new book Playful that is coming out this year. | The Handmade Creative - love this simple design (printed at MOO) and these ladies are lovely. | ONE - the nicest people work for this campaign (yes, the same one that Bono works with). | French Knot Studios - this is such a brilliant fold out design and Audrey is just one of those people that you feel instantly comfortable around. She's a gem and a Georgia girl, so there's that! | Paper & Stitch - Brittni had a fold-out origami flyer that was so clever as well as a formal business card (another MOO card!) and she wrote the sweetest note on the back. I thought that was genius. Such a nice surprise. | A Storied Style - Grace is the prettiest thing and is a former Home Depot Style Challenge participant. Super talented. | Gingiber - Stacie is the best and I just love her illustrations.
A little something else: These ladies went all out with a gift with each card. Gifts ranged from the cutest sea salt from Lulu the Baker to a pair of leggings! From top to bottom, left to right: Tribal leggings from the super lovely Among the Young. | chapstick from Goods by Grinn - she sells the prettiest pillows! | a charming wooden pin from the Paper Mama. | Sea salt from the cute Lulu the Baker. | Confetti from Crew & Lu. | I love my knuckle ring from Moorea Seal. She walked up to people hands out and told them to pick one. So fun.
The cool colors: The most popular colors seemed to be green and blue. So interesting! At the top is my new gal pal Katie from The Land of Nod (did you see all of the Land of Nod cuteness in Matilda's room?). | One of my favorite friends that I met was Jucinda from Pretty Prudent. She also has a book coming out with her partner Jamie. Can't wait! Love the water colors in her card (also printed with MOO!). | No. 4 Design Studio - loooove Dayle. She's also an Atlanta native and her energy is so infectious. She's brilliant and one to watch. | We went to the Wayfair dinner party on thursday night and all of the girls that work there are really awesome. I'm going to be working with them on an upcoming project so stay tuned... | It was so fun meeting Jenny of Hank & Hunt. I'm a fan girl for sure. Total babe. | Jameson Monroe - adorable shop for all things baby. | Not Merely Living - a lovely lifestyle blog.
Really cool medium: Whitney from The Curtis Casa's acrylic cards blew my mind. Could they be anymore chic and awesome? Really excited to hang out more with her this year. | Flax and Twine - I may screw this up but I'm pretty sure Anne told me these were felt. So soft and cool!
The warm colors: Jen Loves Kev - Jen's cards were so simple and charming. They also have a really pretty coral color on the back. | I shared Jessica from The Sewing Rabbit's cards on instagram yesterday (see them in action here!). Brilliant! | Allison from Petit Elefant is just super rad and has awesome hair and tons of great ideas. Loved her! | I spent some time crafting with Megan Tsang and boy if she isn't the most talented photographer (and so nice to boot!).
The letterpress cards: Oh do I love me some letterpress. Lay Baby Lay - did you see her new site is live?! So killer! Her husband Chip came with us to ALT and worked on it a ton and it has certainly paid off. So proud! | Handmade Charlotte - Rachel is just the best. She is so refreshing and unique and it's contagious to be around her. She wrote the sweetest article on me this week if you want to check it out here. Still pinching myself. | Sycamore Street Press - I love Eva and her husband's work and it was such a pleasure to finally meet her in person. | One of the first blogs that I ever read was Making it Lovely. I was too nervous to go up to Nicole so when Joni did, I swept in. :) | My roommate and love Blue Eyed Yonder probably has the best cards ever. They are perfect for her spot on taste and brand.
Now to my cards! I wanted something PINK and super simple and MOO's quality is seriously unmatched. The luxe line feels like a letterpress card (it's super thick as you can see below). They are triple as thick as most business cards and super affordable for the quality. I really can't say enough great things about them. They got here quickly and came in a really beautiful case with magnetic closure. Sam just ordered some too for his business. I highly recommend them!
