St Germain Rosemary Lemonade
If you follow me on
then you may have seen my post about making adult lemonade. We've been working hard outside getting ready for the
Home Depot Patio Style Challenge
. Y'all it is no joke trying to accomplish large scale projects with two little ones. Sometimes a cocktail is in order. The beauty of this lemonade is that you can make it for the kids and then make this St Germain Rosemary Lemonade Cocktail from it. That's usin' your thinkin' cap for some weekend multitasking! Just sayin.
St Germain Rosemary Lemonade
makes 1 pitcher
You will need:
- St Germain
- Tequila
- Juice from 6 lemons + more for pitcher
- Few sprigs of rosemary (we just planted some!)
- 3/4 cup Coconut Palm Sugar or Cane Sugar
- 1 cup water + more for pitcher
For the simple syrup:
Take 1 cup water + 3/4 cup sugar in pan over medium heat. Add a sprig of rosemary to infuse the syrup and bring to a boil. Stir until sugar dissolves. Let cool to room temperature and then place in fridge to cool.
To make the lemonade:
Squeeze the juice out of six lemons. This should yield about 1 cup of lemon juice. Strain the seeds out. Fill your pitcher with lemon juice, to the top with water, then add lemons and rosemary sprigs. It looks so festive and pretty! Lastly add the simple syrup. If you want to impress your guests you could do this last. It looks so pretty. I used about half the syrup and then added more to each glass. Matilda loved this too!
To make the cocktail:
Fill a small class with some crushed ice. Add a shot of tequila plus a healthy splash of St Germain (my absolute favoriteee). Top with lemonade and then a little extra simple syrup if wanted. Stir and garnish with rosemary. Ta da!
This glass got topped with extra simple syrup. So good.
*note: lemons and marble don't really go hand in hand. I used a pastry board for these shots and wiped it down immediately. xo
