Fall Entryway Makeover with Wayfair
Recently my friends at
asked me if I wanted to participate in a "fall entry makeover" challenge. I LOVE decorating for fall, not so great at Halloween, but love a good pumpkin, gourd, mum, etc. We also reallllly needed to tidy up the overgrown geraniums and dead plants. They asked me to create a "before" (above) and "after" (below) and then "decorated for fall (bottom)," so here they are! You can check out all of the makeovers in this fun slideshow right
.
For the after I scrubbed the porch floor and replaced our worn out doormat with this
beauty. I love the rope detail so much. We also used these
(one of my accent colors throughout the house) that can be stacked and moved around. We kept things really clean and simple, cleaning up the containers. I used ornamental kale and rainbow chard for a functional and inexpensive arrangement. I also placed one of these
on a chair with some gorgeous wine-colored mums (my fave color!).
For the fall makeover I used a few things I had on hand (like this metal pumpkin + milk jug) and added this
(love so much!) filled with straw and sugar pumpkins.
are so pretty and what I did was leave the mums in their original containers for drainage and crammed them in to fit the buckets. I love that I can easily move them around and the flowers just make me so happy.
Here's a closer look at the containers. Simple + elegant and they will roll right into the chilliest of weather. I also love, love heirloom pumpkins and added several to the stoop for an instant autumn feel. The best part about uncarved pumpkins is that they work all the way to Christmas. Mmhmm.
