Magnolia! IF Gathering!
Last weekend I headed with my friend Joni for a long weekend in Texas! Over Christmas we decided to head to IF Gathering but had to tack on a day at Magnolia since we would be so close. We flew in early Thursday morning (after missing our flight due to a crazy accident!) and rented a car from DFW to head to Waco. Neither one of us really knew what to expect, but we knew we’d arrived when we saw a billboard with Chip and Jo’s faces on it. :)
When we arrived at the Silos we were surprised to see them right in the heart of Waco. The entire area is just so dang cute. I was so inspired at how they’d completely transformed this cute college town. Their mark at every corner. The grounds were so beautiful and designed perfectly!
So many pretty spring touches! It actually snowed while we were there and it has been raining constantly so it was a breath of fresh air. I picked up some fun souvenirs for sure! Wish I could have taken some of these gorgeous pots back on the plane with me. Sigh!
The food trucks were the absolute CUTEST! The Magnolia Table truck was our favorite. Can you tell we were cold? HA!
Can you stand it?! After grabbing some sweet tea from the Alabama Sweet Tea Company, we headed to the Silos Baking Co. where we froze our buns off in the not-too-bad line. Definitely worth the wait! I’ll be dreaming about these cupcakes!!!
We stayed at Hotel Indigo and met up with friends for dinner. Dinner wasn’t really amazing but breakfast was! Magnolia Table was just the cutest and yummiest and we loved the take away area with coffee, mugs, t-shirts et al. Those tator tots! Good grief.
After breakfast we picked up our friends Christina and Ashley (it was a mini small group reunion - so special!) and headed to Common Grounds for coffee and then to drive around and look for houses. We found several around Harp Design Co which we wanted to check out and then we had the yummiest lunch at Moroso’s Pizza (thanks to my friend Wynne - a Waco native!).
The entire weekend was balm to my soul. IF Gathering was so well done, so inspiring, and had the best energy. I made it a goal to go to a women’s conference outside of my industry every year and it is so worth it! Have you been to either one?
