Skidaway Island State Park

We just recently got back from another camping trip to Skidaway Island State Park. Skidaway is about 4 hours south of Atlanta and was low country heaven with spanish moss and marsh and 6 miles of trails. Reminded me instantly of one of my favorite books!

The perfect campground for biking!

What we loved about this campground:

• Full hook ups and pull through sites

• Fire ring and picnic table

• Lots of space and privacy

• Tranquil trails with beautiful old oaks and spanish moss

• A playground

• An outdoor workout area

• Loads of trails (6 miles!) with many that are bike friendly

• Gorgeous marsh and lots to explore: birds, crabs, pioneer camping, artifacts

• Close prox to Savannah (20 min!)

• Close access to gas and groceries
