My family made Mother's Day so special yesterday. It was a really rainy day which made me want to stay in bed all day (if I could ever get away with it, it would be on Mother's Day, right?!). Matilda was so sweet to wait patiently for me to come and get her out of her room. I cannot tell you how proud and in love with that little girl I am. I feel forever grateful to God and Sam for making me a mother to her and this little growing babe. Matilda and Sam made me my favorite pancakes with bacon and eggs. So good. Then we watched CBS Sunday Morning, played, Matilda took a nap so I went shopping which I have not done in what seems like forever (thank you honey!). There is something so peaceful about shopping alone. I forgot how much I enjoy it. I went to the Gap and they have it going on right now. Seriously. Then I had the best lunch at my sweet Grammy's house and then Jake, Rachel, and I treated our special Mama to Leon's for the most ridiculous dinner and dessert. We love that place. Their homemade oatmeal cream pie is something that dreams are made of. I hope you all had a festive day celebrating your moms and/or getting pampered yourself! I also want to send all of you a big hug that don't have your moms here anymore. I know it can be an emotional day. I feel very lucky to have my mama and am so thankful for all of the love and wisdom she has shared with us. I'm working hard to fill some big shoes. I love you Mama.
I'm going to be sharing how to restock your pantries with healthy goodness on wednesday. I'm excited that you guys are into the new series. Woohoo!
