Our Home for the Holidays
I've been looking forward to celebrating Christmas in our new home for a year now. When we were designing the home with our architect Dan, I had Christmas in mind the entire time. I pictured the banister covered in garlands, that the tree would go right in between the room pass-thru. I love that you can see the sparkly tree from almost every room. It makes me so happy.
The garland goes all the way up the staircase and just feels really whimsical and magical. This is a mix of spruce, pine, and hemlock. I just love how grinchy it is. I saw this idea on pinterest to clip your cards to a piece of ribbon. Getting Christmas cards with our sweet friends and family on them is one of my FAVORITE parts of Christmas. My sweet friend Rachel gave me this ribbon. It was her grandmothers and I cherish it. The clips are from seed factory and are by one of my all-time favorites: Maileg.
Our antlers got dressed up too. I hung star garlands and red noses on them. Festive reindeer we say!
Ook our house elf miraculously is trapped in our globe pendant. Psst they are 20% off right now! I think for Christmas Sam and I are going to splurge on some lighting for the bedroom. This coral pendant is at the tippy top of my wishlist.
I bought us matching stockings this year. My favorite color is red and these just make me so happy!
Using 3M hooks, Matilda and I strung these garlands on the wall. They make such a pretty focal point on our very blank dining room wall. Kind of want to leave it up year round.
